The primary alloying elements in 7075 aluminum tubing are zinc and copper, making it one of the strongest aluminum alloys available, often referred to as "super hard aluminum tubing." Its hardness is nearly double that of 6061 aluminum tubing. The typical strength of 7075 T6 is higher than most low-carbon steels, and it offers excellent machinability. The 7075 T73 temper provides outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
