Technical requirements for Mastar Metal aluminum tubular buspipe

Mastar Metal aluminum tubular buspipes utilize advanced hot top casting, seamless pipe technology, and TMTP heat treatment techniques to ensure smooth surfaces, high dimensional accuracy, strong tensile strength, excellent resistance to discharge and deformation. This design enables efficient heat dissipation, low temperature rise, minimal loss, high conductivity, and high current-carrying capacity within electrical systems. Specific technical requirements include:

  • Pipe ends must be flat and perpendicular to the axis.
  • Length tolerance for busbars allowed is within a positive error range of +15mm to +25mm.
  • Straightening spiral marks are permissible, provided they do not affect the outer diameter and are no deeper than 0.5mm.
  • Bending radius of the busbars must satisfy m/L < 2.0 mm.
  • Distance between the busbar and lining pipe should not exceed 0.5mm, ensuring installation requirements.
  • Surface must be smooth, free from cracks, wrinkles, inclusions, deformations, and twists.
  • Control of elastic modulus values to ensure deflection after installation falls within specified limits.

Why use tubular aluminum busbars?

Low skin effect and uniform current density distribution: tubular aluminum busbars have a lower skin effect coefficient and ensure uniform current density distribution, reducing power loss and enhancing transmission efficiency.

Reduced corona starting voltage: compared to solid aluminum conductors, tubular aluminum busbars can often lower the corona discharge starting voltage due to their shape and structural characteristics, improving system stability and safety.

Excellent heat dissipation: tubular aluminum busbars naturally provide excellent heat dissipation, resulting in lower temperature rise and contributing to stable system operation.

Flexible assembly methods: tubular aluminum busbars can be assembled using various methods such as connecting, bending, and welding, making them easier to install and saving space and costs.

Enhanced safety: with grounding shields along their entire length and a touch-safe outer surface, tubular aluminum busbars increase safety by reducing the risk of accidental electric shocks.
